Santa Monica Studio has delayed God of War Laufey to May 20, 2027, the developer announced. The game was previously set to launch on PS5 on February 16.
In a statement, the studio said it wants to "make the most of each moment until then by putting in the finishing touches and pushing the game to its fullest potential." It thanked fans for their patience and said it would share more updates soon.
Laufey stars Faye, the wife of God of War protagonist Kratos. Deborah Ann Woll again voices the character. According to the source, a 23-minute gameplay reveal earlier this year showed a game with more focus on aerobatic action than recent God of War titles.
